Biodiversity & Habitats

About Us

Hi! We are Steve and Mary. Welcome to our little bit of wildlife in The Norfolk Broads!

Blackwater Carr has the status of Local Wildlife Site. Our plan is to further its rewilding and biodiversity development in order to apply for Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) status.

Our management strategies and cultivation of new habitats continue to improve biodiversity and the recording of species. We have had several visitors of environmental importance and our site will be open to professors, lecturers, graduates and postgraduate students for research work or any other programs that will positively affect the endangered species and overall biodiversity.

Welcome

Henry Cator

Patron of Broads Society

What Mary and Steve are trying to do is manage a little patch of valuable habitat. These people should be given a medal and encouragement.
