It's been a busy and rewarding October!
At the end of September Iain Barr, Professor of Field Ecology at the University of East Anglia visited the site to discuss how we could mutually benefit one another by inviting his students to our land. It was a productive and fruitful visit and we are looking forward to this.
On our site walks we saw a Pipistrelle bat under the Oak tree. We have just invested in a bat monitor
For the first time, I saw a seal in the River Yare just near our woodland.
During the day, we managed to see a Swallowtail butterfly on the Oak tree
Near the South Dyke, Steve saw a Bittern, previously we have only heard them!
We have been working on reducing the native hedges so they will thicken up. a source of continuous work!
