Thanks to the volunteers for adding fun to the hard work of raking -October blog
Andretta, Sidney and Katt were such a support
Some of the volunteers enjoying a break with strawberries, fabulous New Zealand Whittaker's chocolate juice and water. Andretta yet again came all the way up from London to volunteer.
The forecast for the week was not optimistic but because the Avanti 860i optidrive had a cover Steve was able to get all the meadows cut in time.
Unfortunately he disturbed a wasp's nest and we were badly stung! They were still angrily circling days later.
Michael has worked with us for several years so it was great to catch up again. He enjoyed seeing how much the site has changed since his last visit.
Anna enjoyed sharing the time with us.
Dan brought his own scythe with him and quickly clered the tree plantation.
Mary assessing the rakes. The green one lent by a friend was the best! Thanks Cathy.
